
Fusilli Pasta with Easy Tomato and Pesto Sauce

INGREDIENTS
- 1 (1-pound) bag DeLallo Fusilli Col Buco
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 (28-ounce) can DeLallo San Marzano Style Crushed Tomatoes 28 oz.
- 1 (6-ounce) jar DeLallo Simply Pesto® Traditional Basil Sauce
- 1 teaspoon DeLallo Sea Salt Grinder
- Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 4 basil leaves, torn
DIRECTIONS
- Bring 5 quarts of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add pasta and cook according to package instructions. Drain.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat olive oil on a medium setting. Add chopped onion and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring constantly until tender.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and pesto to combine. Season with salt and red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a quick boil, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Stir in cooked pasta and torn basil leaves and serve.
